Game Overview

I remember playing Trick or Treat on MS-DOS back in the day. It was one of those simple, straightforward games from the early PC era, developed by John Romero and released as part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection. The game didn't try to be anything more than a fun, quick diversion, which was typical for many titles from that period.

You control a kid in pajamas, running through a neighborhood at night to collect candy while avoiding ghosts and other monsters. The main goal is to fill your candy bag before the time runs out or the enemies overwhelm you. The game uses screen by screen exploration, with each new area presenting more hazards and treats. The pacing is frantic; the ghosts multiply quickly, and the audio cues intensify as your bag nears capacity. It feels like a race against both the clock and the swelling tide of enemies, creating a genuine sense of urgency with every move you make.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
