Game Overview

U.R.B.A.N The Cyborg Project came out in 1999 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I'm not sure who originally developed or published it. It fits right in with the kind of action games from that era, where you expected straightforward, challenging gameplay without a lot of hand-holding or cinematic flair.

You control a heavily armed cyborg fighting through a militarized complex, clearing rooms one screen at a time. Your main goal is to advance through the base, using keycards to unlock doors and collecting better weapons like shotguns to deal with tougher enemies. The combat is close and tense, with enemies that explode on death, adding an element of risk to every encounter. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be punishing if you're not careful with ammo and movement. It feels raw and immediate, like every decision matters in the moment.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
