Game Overview

Back in 1995, Krisalis Software Ltd. released UEFA Champions League for MS-DOS, a game that captured the spirit of European club football during the mid-90s. It arrived in an era when football simulations were still finding their footing, offering a straightforward take on the prestigious tournament without the visual polish or depth of later titles. The game presented a functional, no-frills approach that felt right at home on the hardware of the time.

You take control of a club team, selecting from real squads licensed for the 1995-96 season, and guide them through the group stages and knockout rounds. The main objective is to lift the Champions League trophy by outscoring opponents across a series of matches. Key mechanics include setting tactical formations, making substitutions, and directing player movement during matches, though the passing and shooting can feel unpredictable. The pacing is deliberate, with matches that require patience and a bit of adaptation to the game's sometimes awkward controls. It feels like a genuine artifact from a time when football games were still learning how to run.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
