Play Ultimate Body Blows Demo Version Online

Two pixelated fighters trade slow, weighty punches—every hit makes them stagger like they’re actually getting rocked. The animations have this weirdly satisfying chonkiness that makes it feel like a VHS tape of an underground fight club.

Game Overview

Ultimate Body Blows Demo Version was a shareware fighting game released for MS-DOS, part of the wave of one-on-one brawlers that followed the success of Street Fighter II. It was developed by Team17, a studio better known for its work on the Worms series, and it offered a glimpse into a more grounded, less fantastical take on the genre during the early 90s.

You control one of two available fighters, trading heavy punches and kicks in a single, small arena. The main objective is simple: deplete your opponent's health bar before they deplete yours. The game's signature mechanics include a deliberate, almost sluggish pacing that emphasizes the impact of each blow; characters visibly stagger and recoil from hits, selling the feeling of a real brawl. There is a limited move set, with basic punches, kicks, and a special move executed by a simple joystick motion, making it accessible but shallow. The difficulty feels stiff and unforgiving, with the computer opponent often reading your inputs and countering effectively. Playing it feels like a rough, unpolished scrap where every connection has a satisfying, tangible thud.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
