Game Overview

Wall Ball is one of those Atari 2600 games that looks dead simple at first—just a paddle, a ball, and some walls—but within minutes you're completely hooked. You control a little paddle at the bottom, bouncing the ball against the walls while trying not to let it slip past you. The physics have that perfect arcade feel where the ball speeds up unpredictably, and suddenly you're leaning forward in your chair, gripping the joystick way too tight.

It’s basically digital handball, but with that early '80s charm where the challenge comes from pure mechanics, not flashy graphics. I love how the ball ricochets at weird angles off the obstacles—sometimes it feels like the game’s cheating, but really, you just need better reflexes. It’s the kind of game where you say "one more try" and then realize you’ve been playing for half an hour.

Not as famous as some Atari classics, but if you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a surprisingly addictive little time capsule.
