Williams Arcade Classics came out in 1995 for MS-DOS, a collection put together by Williams Entertainment. It was a solid way to get a few of their big arcade hits onto home computers without much fuss, just a straightforward port job for players who missed the coin-op era or wanted it on their PC.

You control different ships, knights, or soldiers depending on the game, with the main goal always being to survive and score. In Defender, you fly left and right defending humans from abductions, using smart bombs and hyperspace when swarmed. Joust has you flapping to stay aloft and knock opponents off their birds, while Robotron: 2084 demands simultaneous movement and firing with its dual-stick style. The pacing is fast, the difficulty is high, and every session feels like a tense battle against the machine. It feels raw and immediate, like the arcade never left.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
