Woody Woodpecker Racing is basically Mario Kart but with that loud-mouthed bird and his cartoon pals. You’re racing top-down instead of 3D, which feels a little old-school but works surprisingly well once you get used to it. The usual kart racing stuff is all here—ramps, oil slicks, rockets—and the power-ups come from smashing star blocks mid-race. Half the characters are locked at first, so you’ll need to win some tournaments to unlock the rest.

There are two main ways to play: Extreme mode cuts the weak racers as you go, while Grand Prix keeps everyone in and scores points like a proper season. Winning gets you trophies and cash to upgrade your kart, which actually makes a difference when the AI starts getting aggressive. If you just want to learn the tracks, Time Trial lets you race against your ghost, or you can jump into a quick Sprint race against the full pack.

It’s not the deepest racer out there, but the two-player link cable mode is a blast if you’ve got a friend nearby. The tracks are goofy, the power-ups are chaotic, and yeah, Woody still laughs way too much when he wins.
