Game Overview

WWF WrestleMania on SNES is basically Mortal Kombat in spandex—which sounds ridiculous, but somehow works. You’ve got all the big names from the '90s WWF roster, from Bret Hart’s pink tights to The Undertaker’s slow, ominous walk. The digitized sprites make everyone look like they stepped right out of a TV screen, though the animations are hilariously stiff when someone gets tossed across the ring.

Don’t expect realistic wrestling—this is pure arcade chaos. You’ll punch, kick, and pull off ridiculous special moves (Razor Ramon’s "Hey, chico!" taunt actually does damage). Matches play out in short rounds where you just beat the other guy until their health drops and they collapse. It’s simple, but the over-the-top energy fits the WWF vibe perfectly.

Best part? Two-player versus mode. Nothing like body-slamming your little brother with Yokozuna while he screams about it being "cheap." The AI can be brutal in single-player, though—Bam Bam Bigelow’s headbutt still gives me flashbacks.
