Game Overview

WWF Wrestlemania on MS-DOS is exactly what you’d expect from a 90s wrestling game—clunky but weirdly charming. You pick between Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, or British Bulldog and fight your way through five wrestlers to grab the belt. Mr. Perfect starts things off by trash-talking you, and you get to fire back with one of those canned responses that somehow make it feel personal.

The moves are basic—punches, kicks, the occasional dropkick—but landing Hogan’s big leg drop or Warrior’s gorilla press slam still feels satisfying. There’s even a steel chair outside the ring if you’re feeling extra ruthless. Matches only last five minutes, so you’ve gotta go hard or risk a draw, which counts as a loss. And yeah, you only get four continues, so good luck against Sgt. Slaughter at the end.

It’s got a practice mode where you can whale on a defenseless opponent (weird, but okay) and a two-player option, though your friend’s stuck playing as Mr. Perfect every time. Not exactly deep, but if you’re into old-school wrestling cheese, it’s a fun little time capsule.
