X was this weird little Game Boy tech demo from Japan that somehow squeezed 3D polygons out of that tiny green screen. Like, actual wireframe spaceships and landscapes—on a Game Boy. It’s janky as hell by today’s standards, but back in the day? Pure black magic. You mostly just fly around shooting blocky enemies, but half the fun is being amazed it even works. Definitely more of a novelty than a deep game, but kinda cool to mess with for 10 minutes just to say you’ve seen it. Nintendo really went "hold my sake" with this one.
