Game Overview

Xenophage: Alien BloodSport came out in 1995, published by Apogee Software. It was one of those mid-90s MS-DOS games that tried to push the boundaries of what a shareware title could be, focusing on brutal, over-the-top combat instead of the platforming or puzzle solving that was more common at the time.

You control a heavily armed gladiator fighting through a series of alien arenas. The main goal is simply to survive each match and kill everything that moves. Signature mechanics include picking up an arsenal of different weapons, from shotguns to flamethrowers, and performing graphic finishing moves on stunned opponents. The pacing is fast and unforgiving; enemies swarm you constantly, and the screen is often a chaotic mess of pixelated gore. It feels raw and unrefined, a product of its era where ambition sometimes outpaced polish, but the sheer absurdity of the violence gives it a strange, memorable charm.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
