4x4 Off-Road Racing came out for the Amiga in 1987, developed by Epyx and published by U.S. Gold. It was one of those early racing titles that tried to capture the feel of off-road driving, back when the Amiga was showing what home computers could really do with graphics and sound.

You pick one of four trucks, each with different handling and speed, and race them across challenging courses filled with mud, ice, sand, and steep hills. The goal is to finish each race in the top three to advance, managing your truck's wear and fuel while avoiding obstacles like rocks and water. The physics are simple but punishing; if you push too hard, you'll spin out or break an axle. It feels raw and unpolished, a bumpy ride that demands patience and control.
