Game Overview

Alien Carnage came out in 1993 from Interactive Binary Illusions, a side-scrolling shooter that fit right in with the era's DOS action games. You play as a guy named Halloween Harry, a pest control specialist who ends up fighting an alien infestation in a chemical plant. The setting is industrial and dark, with flickering lights and cramped corridors that make every corner feel dangerous.

You control Harry directly, moving through the facility screen by screen, using a variety of weapons like a shotgun and flamethrower to eliminate aliens and mutated humans. Your main goal is to rescue hostages and shut down the alien threat before it spreads. Key mechanics include platform jumping between narrow ledges, managing limited ammo for different guns, and avoiding environmental hazards like toxic spills. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can be punishing, especially with respawning enemies in some sections. It feels tense and chaotic, demanding quick reflexes and careful movement to survive each new room.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
