Game Overview

Another Code: Two Memories came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed by Cing and published by Nintendo. It was part of that early wave of DS games that really tried to do something different with the hardware, focusing on puzzles and story instead of action. You play as a teenage girl named Ashley Robbins, who receives a strange device called the DAS from her father on her fourteenth birthday, right before being summoned to a remote island called Blood Edward.

You control Ashley directly, moving her through environments screen by screen, tapping objects to examine them or combine items in your inventory. The main goal is to unravel the mystery of the island and find out what happened to your father, using the DAS to reveal hidden messages and memories. The touchscreen is central; you drag and poke at things, sometimes holding the DS like a book or closing it to simulate a key action. The puzzles are logical but demand attention, and the pacing is deliberate, almost quiet. It feels like slowly turning the pages of a personal diary, where every solved puzzle brings you closer to something fragile and real.
