Bonk Barney! is the kind of MS-DOS game that makes you question reality while you’re mashing keys at 2 AM. You play as… well, let’s call him Barney, though he looks more like a sleep-deprived potato with legs. Your mission? Bonk everything. Walls, enemies, floating question marks—nothing is safe. The controls are janky in that perfect early-'90s way, where half the fun is figuring out if you’re winning or just accidentally glitching through a wall.

It’s got that weird, low-budget magic where the sound effects sound like someone banging on a keyboard and the "plot" is just an excuse to keep bonking. I lost an embarrassing amount of time trying to bonk a pixelated chicken that may or may not have been a boss. If you miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand and just threw you into the chaos, this one’s a time capsule of glorious nonsense. You’ll either rage-quit or develop a strange emotional attachment to the bonk noise.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
