Game Overview

Bud Tucker in Double Trouble is one of those weird little MS-DOS gems that somehow sticks with you. You play as Bud, a pizza guy who moonlights as a lab assistant—until his mad scientist boss gets kidnapped by a guy named Dick Tate (yes, really), who’s dead set on cloning himself into world domination. Classic villain logic.

The whole thing plays out in Barryville, a town so offbeat you’ll find yourself poking at everything just to see what weird dialogue or item pops up. The puzzles are the kind where you’ll stare at your inventory thinking, "Okay, a rubber chicken and a jar of pickles… how does this help me escape a hotel?" But when it clicks, it’s satisfying.

It’s got that old-school point-and-click charm with both text and icons, so you can play it like a purist or just click around. The humor’s dry, the situations are ridiculous, and honestly, the fact that it’s split into three parts makes it feel like a bizarre mini-series. Not as famous as Monkey Island, but if you dig oddball adventures, this one’s a trip.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
