Play Cars (I) GBA Online

I picked up Cars (I) on GBA expecting a simple kid racer, but it's got some decent handling for a licensed game. The tracks are bright and chunky in that early 2000s handheld way, with tight turns that actually require braking instead of just holding accelerate.

First race throws you into a desert canyon with these weird speed boost pads that feel awkward at first. By the third cup though, you start nailing drifts around oil slicks and dodging traffic cones. The AI rubberbands hard - mess up one corner and 4th place becomes 8th real quick.

It's no F-Zero, but Cars (I) handles better than most movie tie-ins from that era. The power-ups are basic, but getting a nitro at the final lap actually matters.
