Play Dangerous Dave Goes Nutz Online

Dangerous Dave storms a zombie asylum with his shotgun—janky jumps and unpredictable enemies make every run feel messy but weirdly tense. That grimy pixel art and cheesy synth soundtrack seal the deal.

Game Overview

Dangerous Dave Goes Nutz came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from Softdisk Publishing. It was one of those shareware platformers that felt right at home on a floppy disk, a straightforward action game from an era when levels were short and replaying them was just part of the deal.

You control Dave, who is armed with a shotgun, and your goal is to fight through a zombie-infested asylum room by room. The game progresses screen by screen; you clear one area of enemies before moving to the next. Jumping feels a little loose, and enemy movements can be erratic, which keeps you on your toes. It’s not an easy game, and you’ll die often from unexpected hits or mistimed leaps. Playing it feels like wrestling with an old, stubborn machine that somehow stays compelling.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
