Game Overview

Ever played one of those old-school war games where you actually have to think instead of just mashing buttons? "Decision in the Desert" is exactly that—a brutal little MS-DOS gem where you're sweating over supply lines and tank formations in the middle of the North African campaign. No fancy graphics, just hex grids, chunky sprites, and the constant fear of running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere.

At first glance, it feels like chess with more sand, but then you realize how deep it goes. Positioning matters. Terrain matters. That one dumb decision to push your panzers too far? Yeah, Rommel’s gonna make you regret that. It’s got that same tense, turn-based vibe as "Panzer General," but somehow even more punishing—in a good way.

If you’re into retro strategy or just love games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open. Just don’t blame me when your infantry gets stranded in the dunes.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
