Demon Stalkers came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from Electronic Arts. It was one of those early dungeon crawlers that felt ambitious for its time, with a big focus on exploration and combat. The game fit right in with other fantasy adventures of the era, offering a solid challenge without a lot of hand-holding.

You choose between two characters: a boy armed with daggers or a girl with a crossbow. Your goal is to descend through 100 floors of a dungeon, fighting monsters like ghosts that phase through walls and avoiding traps that force you to retrace your steps. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is steep, especially when you're trying to conserve arrows or avoid ambushes. It feels tense and methodical, like every step deeper could be your last.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
