DuckTales: The Quest for Gold came out in 1990 for MS-DOS, developed by Incredible Technologies. It was part of that wave of Disney games on PC, sitting alongside other titles that tried to blend cartoon charm with strategy. You don't see many business sims starring ducks, but this one gave it a shot.
You control Scrooge McDuck, hiring his nephews to run various shops while you travel the world hunting treasure. The main goal is to out-earn your rival Flintheart Glomgold within a set number of days. Gameplay splits between managing your businesses screen by screen and exploring locations for treasure using a simple map. The economy can be unforgiving; one bad investment might force a restart. Even with the occasional frustration, pulling off a big score feels satisfying.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
