Play Duke Nukem 2 Shareware Online

Duke straps on a jetpack this time—blast aliens mid-air, dodge lava pits, and hunt for secret rooms while crunchy synth blasts in the background. Still feels good to wreck mutants with that chunky pixel shotgun.

Game Overview

Duke Nukem 2 came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup from Apogee Software. It was a side-scrolling platformer that built on the first game's run-and-gun action, but with a bigger scope and more polished mechanics. This was during the peak of shareware distribution, when a single episode could hook you for hours before you decided to order the rest.

You control Duke through a series of levels, shooting aliens, jumping across platforms, and hunting for keys to open doors. The jetpack adds a new layer of movement, letting you fly over hazards or attack from above. Exploration is key; you’ll bomb walls to find hidden areas with power-ups and extra lives. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike suddenly, especially in later stages. It feels responsive and chaotic in the best way, with every shot and jump having weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
