Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2009, developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. You control one of many officers from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, each with their own unique moveset, and your main goal is to complete missions to gather resources for strengthening your home base. The signature mechanics involve a new Fury transformation that temporarily supercharges your character, aerial combat that lets you chase enemies into the sky, and a four player co op mode for tackling the game's tougher objectives. The pacing is fast and frantic, though the difficulty can spike sharply on later missions, demanding careful gear preparation. It feels like a satisfying power trip once you get your combos flowing and your transformations timed right against a boss.
