Game Overview

Electric Crayon 3.1 - At the Zoo is one of those weirdly specific childhood memories that stuck with me—opening it on our clunky old PC and realizing I could make a bright pink tiger if I wanted to. The MS-DOS graphics are blocky in that perfect early '90s way, but there's something satisfying about clicking colors onto the animals and watching them go from outlines to something vaguely recognizable (even if my 6-year-old self gave the zebra polka dots).

It's not just coloring, though—each animal has little facts popping up if you hover long enough, so you accidentally learn that giraffes only sleep 30 minutes a day while trying to decide if their spots should be purple or green. The zoo theme makes it more fun than the other Electric Crayon versions, since you’re not just filling shapes but imagining what a neon elephant would look like in real life. Still weirdly relaxing to play now, honestly.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
