Game Overview
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions on PSP is basically the same deep, grid-based strategy RPG you remember from PS1—just with a few nice extras. The camera’s tighter to fit the handheld screen, and yeah, you still can’t skip cutscenes (ugh), but the new cel-shaded intro and chapter animations give it some fresh flair.
They threw in Balthier from FFXII and Luso from Tactics A2 as bonus characters, which is fun if you’re into crossover fanservice. The Onion Knight job is entirely new, while Dark Knight—previously locked behind cheats—is now properly unlockable. Multiplayer’s there too, but you’ll need to hit a tavern on the world map first to duel or team up wirelessly.
It’s still one of the best tactical RPGs ever, just slightly more portable and polished.
