Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed and published by Square Enix. The combat is fast and combo-driven, but it's punctuated by the Digital Mind Wave, a slot-reel system that randomly activates abilities, summons, or stat boosts. Mission-based structure keeps the pacing brisk, though some optional tasks can feel repetitive. It all comes together to make you feel deeply connected to Zack's journey, his friendships, and his resolve.
