Game Overview

Man, First Over Germany is one of those MS-DOS flight sims that just sticks with you. You're not just flying—you're sweating over fuel gauges, flinching at sudden flak bursts, and white-knuckling the joystick as German fighters dive at you. The first time I played, I blew half my fuel before even reaching the target because I kept zigzagging like an idiot to avoid AA fire.

The graphics are obviously retro now, but there's something weirdly gripping about how they handled the low-altitude bombing runs. Skim too high, and you miss the target; too low, and suddenly you're a fireball in a wheat field. And those dogfights? Brutal. No regenerating health bars here—one good burst from an enemy's guns, and you're done.

It's not for everyone—no tutorials, no hand-holding—but if you stick with it, pulling off a perfect mission feels like cracking a secret code. I still remember the first time I made it back to base with 5% fuel and a smoking engine. This game makes you earn those victories.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
