Gauntlet on the Genesis is basically the arcade classic crammed into a cartridge—same frantic dungeon crawling, same ridiculous difficulty. You pick one of four heroes (I always go for the Valkyrie because she’s got decent armor) and then immediately get swarmed by ghosts, grunts, and those annoying little thieves stealing your food. The maze layouts are brutal, traps are everywhere, and yeah, you’ll still hear that iconic "Wizard needs food badly!" voice line echoing in your head after you turn it off. It’s chaotic, punishing, and weirdly addictive with friends—just don’t expect to last long without burning through a mountain of credits. Still holds up if you’re into old-school pain.
