Game Overview

Gauntlet on NES is basically the arcade classic that ate all your quarters back in the day, now crammed into a cartridge. You pick between a warrior, wizard, elf, or valkyrie and immediately get swarmed by ghosts, grunts, and those annoying little things that shoot at you from across the room.

The maze layouts are brutal—half the time you're backtracking because you missed a key or got trapped by a spawner. And yeah, the voice samples are burned into my brain forever. Nothing like hearing "Wizard is about to die!" while frantically hunting for a turkey leg in the corner.

It's chaotic with four players, but good luck convincing three friends to put up with the NES controller cords. Still, there's something weirdly satisfying about watching your health tick down as you blast through walls for secrets.
