Gekisou Sentai CarRanger is one of those weird, hyper-Japanese SNES games that never made it overseas—which is a shame, because it’s basically a Power Rangers racing brawler. You pick from five color-coded heroes (of course), then tear through streets smacking enemy cars with your fists or transforming into a giant mech for boss fights. The controls are a little stiff, but there’s something hilarious about watching your spandex-clad dude sprint alongside traffic just to sucker-punch a sedan.

It’s got that classic Natsume arcade feel—bright colors, loud sound effects, and zero subtlety. The tracks get wild fast, with jumps, oil slicks, and sudden ambushes from enemy racers. And yeah, the whole thing’s in Japanese, but you don’t really need to read much to enjoy the chaos. Just mash buttons and watch cars explode.
