Game Overview

Glory Days 2 came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, published by Oxygen Interactive. It was part of that wave of DS games that tried to do something a little different with the hardware, mixing up genres in a way that felt fresh for the time. It didn't have the biggest budget or the most polished look, but it had a clear idea of what it wanted to be.

You pilot a series of military aircraft, switching between helicopters, fighter jets, and cargo planes on the fly to complete various mission objectives. The main goal is to protect ground units, destroy enemy bases, and intercept incoming threats across side-scrolling battlefields. Signature mechanics include switching vehicles mid-stage to adapt to new threats, managing limited ammunition and fuel, and rescuing soldiers or delivering supplies under fire. The pacing is relentless, with constant alerts and new targets appearing before you've cleared the last ones, and the difficulty can spike sharply if you lose focus. It feels like juggling three emergencies at once while trying not to crash into a mountain.
