The new stages aren’t just filler—they’re these clever, almost puzzle-like challenges that force you to actually use Mario’s moves instead of just running and jumping mindlessly. I got stuck on one where you have to chain Yoshi bounces off enemies in midair, and it took me way too many tries to nail it.
The original game’s charm is all still there—same bright colors, same music that instantly teleports you back to 1991—but now there’s this subtle layer of extra polish. Hidden exits feel more devious, and some of the new power-up placements make you rethink old strategies. If you’ve played the original to death, these five levels will make you fall in love all over again.
Just don’t blame me when you’re muttering at the screen after the third failed attempt at that one spin-jump section.
