Play Grand Prix 500 2 Online

Pick a bike (they’re all the same) and wrestle stiff controls through janky tracks—AI racers might ghost through walls or float mid-air like they’ve checked out. Split-screen’s a laugh if your friend doesn’t mind the chaos.

Game Overview

Grand Prix 500 2 came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Microïds. It was one of those early racing titles that tried to capture the feel of motorcycle competition on home computers, back when 3D graphics were still finding their feet and gameplay often prioritized ambition over polish.

You control a rider on a racing bike, competing against AI opponents on twisting circuits. The main goal is straightforward: finish first. The handling feels heavy and deliberate, requiring careful throttle control to avoid skidding on tight turns. Collision detection can be unpredictable; sometimes bikes clip through barriers or each other, adding an element of chaos to every lap. Despite its rough edges, there's a certain charm in mastering the awkward physics and pushing for a clean run. It feels like a genuine, if flawed, effort to simulate the tension of a real race.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
