Guitar Rock Tour on the DS is basically a pocket-sized version of those big guitar rhythm games, but with the twist that you play it sideways like a tiny axe. You tap and slide the stylus across the fretboard on the bottom screen while the top screen shows your band rocking out—sometimes looking a little stiff, but hey, it’s the DS.

The song list is a mix of rock and pop-punk covers (some recognizable, some… not so much), and the difficulty actually gets pretty intense once you move past the first few tracks. Pro tip: the touchscreen gets slippery if your hands sweat, so keep a cloth handy. It’s janky in that charming early DS way, but if you ever wanted to pretend you’re shredding on the bus, this does the job.
