Game Overview

Jack Flash came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection from MVP Software. It was one of those oddball action games that felt right at home in the shareware era, where developers weren't afraid to get a little strange. You don't see many games like it now, but back then it fit right in with the experimental, often humorous titles that filled bulletin boards and CD compilations.

You control Jack, a guy armed with a vacuum gun tasked with clearing haunted houses of possessed furniture. Your goal is to suck up every animated couch, table, and lamp in each room before moving to the next screen. The gameplay is straightforward but frantic; you have to avoid being touched by the angry furniture while lining up shots to vacuum them up. Some objects move in predictable patterns, others charge directly at you, which keeps you on your toes. It's fast, a little silly, and surprisingly tense when a room gets crowded. Playing it feels like being in a chaotic, low-budget ghostbuster cartoon.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
