King Arthur & The Knights of Justice came out on the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Manley & Associates. It was one of those licensed games that tried something a little different, mixing medieval fantasy with a modern twist. You don't play as the classic King Arthur; instead, you're a football team pulled through time to save Camelot. It fit right in with the era's fondness for side-scrolling action adventures, even if it wasn't the most polished title on the system.

You control Arthur, the quarterback turned leader, and you choose two other knights from your team to accompany you. You move screen by screen, slashing enemies with your sword, using a bow for ranged attacks, and exploring dungeons and castles. The main goal is to find the twelve shields to free the real Knights of the Round Table. Managing your party's health and special abilities is key, as knights can fall in battle and need to be swapped out. The pacing is deliberate, with some backtracking and moderate difficulty spikes. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clunky quest with a unique team dynamic.
