Man, KOPS is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow sticks in your brain. You control this blocky little guy—maybe a cop? Maybe just some dude?—running through mazes, avoiding enemies, and grabbing whatever shiny things the game throws at you. It’s simple, but don’t let that fool you—after a few levels, you’ll be sweating over pixel-perfect jumps and timing your moves just right.
There’s something oddly satisfying about how straightforward it is. No story, no fluff, just you trying not to get wrecked by whatever’s chasing you. It feels like a mashup of Pac-Man’s maze-running and Lode Runner’s frantic energy, but with its own janky charm. If you’ve got DOSBox installed and a soft spot for forgotten ‘90s oddballs, give it a shot. Just don’t blame me when you lose an hour to "one more try."
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
