You control Krusty the Clown through a series of side scrolling stages, with the main goal being to rescue his kidnapped audience from Itchy and Scratchy. The game employs a lives and continues system, and you navigate levels by running, jumping, and using a limited slap attack against enemies. Signature mechanics include bouncing on large, springy objects like donuts to reach higher platforms and avoiding environmental hazards, such as moving saw blades and falling anvils. The pacing is slow due to somewhat unresponsive controls, and the difficulty can feel arbitrary, with cheap enemy placements.
