Play Kyle Pettys No Fear Racing Online

Floor it and slide sideways through pack racing—other drivers shove back, and scraping paint feels like part of the strategy. That gritty ‘90s NASCAR energy’s all here, right down to the wailing guitar solos.

Game Overview

Kyle Petty's No Fear Racing came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Leland Interactive Media. It was part of that wave of mid-90s racing games that tried to capture the aggressive, bumper-to-bumper feel of stock car competition, without the polish of some bigger titles from the era.

You control Kyle Petty's car in a series of oval track races, trying to outmaneuver and outlast the other drivers. The main objective is to win each race by any means necessary, which often involves drafting behind opponents to build speed, then slamming into them to force a mistake. The screen scrolls vertically, and the controls are loose, making it easy to slide into the pack or the wall. Races are short but chaotic, with constant contact and very little room for error. It feels like a messy, frantic scramble from green flag to checkered.
