Play Last Action Hero on Snes Online
Punch your way through movie-inspired levels as Jack Slater—controls feel stiff at first, but you’ll get used to kicking knife-wielding goons and dodging random Molotovs. Those health-refilling movie tickets? Yeah, they make zero sense but you’ll take ‘em.

Game Overview
Last Action Hero on SNES is one of those classic movie tie-in beat'em ups that somehow manages to be both janky and weirdly charming. You play as Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Jack Slater, punching your way through four levels that loosely follow the film's plot—starting with that over-the-top action movie opening sequence.
The first thing you'll notice is how stiff the controls feel—Jack moves like he's wading through molasses, but after a few minutes, you kinda get used to it. You'll be kicking thugs with knives, dodging Molotov cocktails, and occasionally grabbing movie tickets that fall from nowhere to refill your health (because sure, why not?). The Genesis version has this bizarre twist where bullets randomly shoot at you from off-screen, which is equal parts frustrating and hilarious.
Between the punching, there are these weird driving sections where you jump your car onto enemies like some kind of vehicular wrestler. It’s clunky, but in that way old licensed games often are—you can’t help but laugh when it goes wrong. The bosses? Oh yeah, you’ll fight a helicopter at one point. Of course you will.
It’s not a great game, but if you’re into '90s cheese or just love seeing Arnold’s pixelated face grimace at bad guys, it’s a weird little time capsule.
