Play Legend Of Kay Online

You play as Kay, a sneaky cat avoiding gorilla patrols—no combat, just jumping puzzles and spider-stomping in a surprisingly big island world. The comic cutscenes and janky platforming give it this odd, nostalgic charm.

Game Overview

Legend of Kay on DS is a weird little adaptation of the PS2 action-adventure game—weird because they stripped out all the combat. You play as Kay, this cocky cat martial artist, sneaking around a lush island overrun by gorilla soldiers and rat alchemists. Instead of fighting, you’re mostly jumping on spiders, avoiding patrols, and solving switch puzzles while the story unfolds in these cool comic-style cutscenes.

The world’s surprisingly big for a DS game—you’ll climb mountains, wade through swamps, and double-jump across gaps while the touchscreen shows a handy map. Just don’t get spotted by gorillas; you’ve only got three hearts, and losing them means replaying chunks of the level. It’s got that early 3D platformer jank, but there’s something charming about the whole thing, especially if you’re into animal martial arts lore.

Honestly, it’s not as good as the original, but it’s an interesting curiosity if you’ve played the PS2 version and want to see how they reworked it. The lack of combat does make it feel a bit hollow at times, though.
