Game Overview

Lemmings on GB is that classic puzzle game where you’ve got these little guys just marching to their doom unless you step in. They’ll walk straight off cliffs, drown in water, or smash into walls—no survival instincts whatsoever. Your job? Use a limited set of skills (digging, climbing, floating, etc.) to guide enough of them to the exit.

The controls take a second to get used to—you’re not moving the lemmings directly, but assigning jobs to them one by one as they mindlessly trot along. Some levels give you barely enough tools to work with, and watching your last lemming splat because you mis-timed a bridge builder never gets less painful. It’s weirdly satisfying when a plan comes together, though.

120 levels means you’ll be at this a while, especially when the later ones start throwing lava pits and trapdoors at you. The Game Boy version keeps the charm of the original, even if the tiny screen makes some levels feel extra cramped. If you like puzzles that make you think on the fly (and don’t mind a few sacrificial lemmings), this one’s still a blast.
