Game Overview

Little Tai Chi: Myth Adventures is one of those Game Boy Color games that sneaks up on you—it looks simple at first, but there's this weirdly satisfying rhythm to it. You play as this tiny tai chi master bouncing between floating islands and ancient temples, where enemies attack in these almost-predictable patterns that make dodging and countering feel like a dance. The first time I knocked a spear-wielding goon off a cliff with a well-timed push, I grinned like an idiot.

It’s got that classic GBC color palette—lots of bright greens and blues—but what stuck with me were the little details, like how your character stumbles if you mistime a move or the way certain enemies just… give up and nap if you outmaneuver them too long. The puzzles aren’t brain-melters, but they’re clever enough to make you pause between fights. Honestly, half the fun is seeing how many different ways you can cheese encounters using the environment.

If you’ve got a soft spot for games that don’t take themselves too seriously but still nail their mechanics, this one’s a weird little delight.
