Lost Adventures of Kroz came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Apogee Software. It was one of those early shareware titles that felt right at home on a beige box monitor, all text-mode graphics and keyboard controls. You knew what you were getting into: a dungeon crawl that didn't rely on flash, just straightforward exploration and tension.

You control a small character, often represented by an @ symbol, moving screen by screen through maze-like dungeons. Your goal is to collect pieces of a scattered treasure while avoiding enemies like bats and snakes. Combat is simple; you swing your sword or use a bow to clear a path, but timing matters because everything moves in real time. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
