That’s The Lost Vikings in a nutshell—a weirdly brilliant puzzle-platformer where you swap between Erik (the jumper), Baleog (the fighter), and Olaf (the guy with the indestructible shield) to get past obstacles. At first, it feels like babysitting a bunch of rowdy uncles, but once you get the hang of their abilities, the puzzles start clicking in the best way.

What’s surprising is how much personality the game packs—Baleog’s terrible archery, Olaf’s shield-surfing, and the way they bicker like siblings. The levels get seriously creative later on, forcing you to use all three in ways you wouldn’t expect. And yeah, it’s a Blizzard game from way back, so the humor and polish hold up better than you’d think for a ‘90s title. Play it solo or pass the controller with a friend—either way, it’s a blast.
