Madagascar on the DS is basically the movie turned into a chaotic little adventure. You switch between Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, and the rest of the gang—each with their own weirdly specific moves (like Melman the giraffe’s awkward neck stretch to reach platforms). The levels are short and messy in that early 2000s licensed game way, but there’s something charming about the janky mini-games, like dodging penguin missiles or smashing crates as Gloria the hippo.

It’s not exactly deep, but if you grew up with the movie, the nostalgia hits hard—especially hearing those voice clips recycled every 30 seconds. Just don’t expect a masterpiece.
