Game Overview

So there's this old mansion on the edge of town—the Edison place. Everyone whispers about weird experiments and creatures lurking inside, plus there's that whole "meteorite crash" story nobody really believes. But now Sandy's gone missing, and her boyfriend Dave's convinced the creepy Dr. Fred took her. Problem is, he can't storm the mansion alone.

You pick two other students to tag along (I went with the science nerd and the jock first time—bad call, the jock kept getting caught). The cool part? You can swap between all three characters anytime. Each has their own way of dealing with stuff—like, the bookworm might solve a puzzle by reading some dusty old tome, while the rebel just kicks the door down. Mess up, though, and one of them ends up in the dungeon, which means you’ve gotta break them out with whoever’s left.

It’s one of those classic "click verbs on things" adventures, but with way more personality than most. Also, the GOG version lets you play either the original or the souped-up edition. The mansion’s full of weird little details that make it feel alive, in a slightly terrifying way.
