Maniac Mansion is this weird, hilarious point-and-click adventure from the late '80s where you control a bunch of teenagers trying to rescue their friend from a mad scientist’s creepy mansion. You pick two characters at the start—I always went with Razor the punk and Bernard the nerd—and then you’re just… stuck figuring out how to survive this bizarre house full of sentient tentacles, a talking meteor, and a guy who lives in the closet.

The puzzles are ridiculous in the best way. One minute you’re microwaving hamsters, the next you’re hypnotizing a nurse with a toy duck. It’s got that classic Lucasfilm charm, where everything feels slightly unhinged but weirdly logical once you get it. Just don’t expect hand-holding—half the fun is accidentally getting your characters killed in stupid ways before you figure out what actually works.
