Play Monkey Business Online

You're a pixel monkey wreaking havoc—stealing bananas while dodging zookeepers who yell nonsense, swinging on vines that barely look like vines. The janky controls somehow make it more satisfying when you pull off a perfect fruit stand smash.

Game Overview

Monkey Business was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release that bundled several titles from the era. It was developed by Cosmi and published in the early 1990s, a time when platformers with simple premises were common on home computers. The game fits right into that period, offering straightforward, sometimes unforgiving, arcade-style action without much pretense.

You control a monkey tasked with collecting bananas scattered across each level while avoiding zookeepers and other animals. The main objective is to gather all the fruit and reach the exit, navigating through jungles, temples, and villages. Signature mechanics include swinging on vines to cross gaps, throwing coconuts at enemies to stun them, and climbing trees or ropes to access higher platforms. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be punishing, with precise timing needed to avoid sudden threats. It feels chaotic and a little silly, but pulling off a clean run through a tricky screen brings a genuine sense of accomplishment.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
