Game Overview

I remember picking up Overlord Maniac Car back in 1997, part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection from Dynasty. It was one of those titles that didn't try to be the next big thing; it just did its own chaotic thing on a platform already crowded with racers and arcade-style games. You could tell it was made for players who wanted something a little rowdier than the usual track-based competition.

You control a single car, and your goal is basically to cause as much mayhem as possible while navigating through traffic-filled streets. The main objective shifts between survival and point-based destruction, with signature mechanics like screen-by-screen progression, aggressive car-on-car combat, and collecting power-ups that temporarily boost your vehicle's strength or speed. The pacing is fast and unforgiving; one wrong move can send you spinning into oblivion. It feels like controlled chaos, a mix of frustration and satisfaction when you finally clear a tough section.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
